Typically I'm a great driver. I've worked at a car dealership for ACK! this will be 18 years. I've driven all sorts of cars, from brand new Lincolns to old hoopties literally falling apart, and I've driven them in all sorts of weather. This morning on my way to work I was being extra cautious because I'd already heard about all the wrecks this morning. I came down K32 to the 57th street on ramp with relatively no problems. The Semi in front of me slid a bit at the stop light so I was ready for that. I got on I-70 and then didn't have any problems exiting north onto I-635. Didn't really have any problems until I got almost to Leavenworth Rd, There where no cars around me. I always let the speeding idiots pass in this kind of weather and I'm far enough in front of the over cautious drivers so I don't have to worry about their random lane changes. Anyway, I'm cresting the hill on 635 at Leavenworth Rd and I feel my back end break free and start to slide on what appears to be just wet pavement. My only thought was " Dani, I love you". I had enough experience to not step on the break and I counter steered just like your supposed to, and once I was under control again I started crying and shaking. I was so caught off guard I thought I was going to die. That's never happened before and I hope it never does again.
