May. 4th, 2006 11:07 amThe word has come down from on high that the one thing never to happen is going to happen at last. That's right, the original Star Wars Trilogy is coming to DVD. The original, without the CGI crap Lucas added 20 years after the fact.

Lucas all along has said that the original would never appear on DVD because he didn't feel it was "finished" until he added the CGI to better realize his vision. Now the President of LucasArts and VP of LucasFilm, Jim Ward has said that because of fan loyalty they went back to the vaults to retrieve the original.
Anyway read the story and note that it's only a limited release Sept 12-Dec 31st.
