What's up?

Good question. Couple of things come to mind so in no particular order here they are:

Three month follow-up on my kidney stones is next Wednesday with the urologist. I imagine there are some dietary changes that they will recommend. I've been upping my water intake the last two months to try and keep the system flushed so hopefully that won't be much of a change, but I'm not a big fruits and veg guy so if I need to increase those I'll try to play along. I need to get an appointment with my primary physician to see if my cholesterol has come down since last year. (it was borderline then) Also last year he said my BMI was on the border for obese (5'10" 215lb) I'm down 15lbs since January (199.6lbs this morning) so I'd like to see how far if any I've come.

Went to visit OKRF two weeks ago and had a fantabulous time. Everybody there is so welcoming and friendly. Saw several wonderful shows, (Circa Paleo in the Cave was awesome), talked to many friends, and renewed many friendships.

Was down in Great Bend, KS this past weekend for the K-96 June Jaunt, an event that is supposed to promote several cities/towns along the K-96 corridor in south central Kansas. My day started later than last year with my first show scheduled at noon, so we decided to drive down that morning. My other two shows were at 4pm and 7pm so we had plenty of time to burn, literally. Temps in the low to mid 70's and overcast skies tends to make one forget about sunscreen...oops. The redness on my face and arms is already fading so it's not as bad I had thought on Sunday.
Normally I'd be returning to Great Bend in a few weeks to do their Renaissance Festival, but the dates have been changed to this fall when it is cooler and I, unfortunately, will be occupied with KCRF.

Speaking of KCRF (nice segue), I am no longer performing with Rod Sipe (Dr Dumpe) at KCRF. He has a new, female, partner and has decided to take his show in a new direction. When I first heard this I kind of knew it was gonna happen. Rod will tell you I kept him alive doing the grunt work so he could continue doing his show. These days he's down almost 100lbs (no he's not sick, he had lap-band surgery last spring) and because of this his doctor has taken him off insulin but he's still monitoring his levels. He has a new energy and I wish him all the best.

I have not disclosed the following for public consumption because as of yet I do not have a contract and I don't wish to put the cart before the horse...

Anyway, at Rod's suggestion, I have been approached by the KCRF to replace Terry Elton, who retired last year, at the Wizards Tower. Steve Payton asked me last fall at the end of the run if I'd ever thought about it, and I told him I had but I had a good thing going with Rod and I didn't want to mess that up. So this past January when Rod went into the office to let JS know about the changes to his show, he put the bug in J's ear about me... So here it is June and I need to start bugging the office about contracts. I know Steve wants to change the way things are done at the Tower starting with scheduled showtimes. I need to call him to talk things over before KCRF starts...heh heh heh.

That's the big things, I'm sure there is something I missed. I'll try not to stay away so long next time.
